Known for his commanding percussion presence,
Ron Griffin has performed with the legendary Dixie Hummingbirds
during live performances and recording sessions.
As a kid he received encouragement and increased his skills playing drums
for the Philadelphia Police Athletic League. Later he was the lead snare drummer with
the Blue Rock Drum and Bugle Corps when they won the Drums Corps International Championship,
posting the highest score in DCIÕs history.

His sense of style and knowledge of music history is evident in every song he interprets.
His approach to the music is not limited by the number of drums in his kit.
His skills and sensibilities deliver the entire percussion section of the orchestra.

Ron is also an accomplished drum instructor.
He is the author and producer of the instructional DVD, Spirit of the Drums,
which demonstrates various drumming techniques for students of all skill levels.
