Known for his innovative percussion work, Robert Lee has performed with Rhythm & Blues legends Clarence Carter and Bunny Siegler.
The Philadelphia Inquirer was very impressed and recently wrote:
"The invaluable [Robert] Lee created rumbling ferocity (on 'Controlez-Vous') and pumping syncopation worthy of a Bob Fosse finale ('Catch a Ride')."
His sense of style and knowledge of music history is evident in every song he interprets. His approach to the music is not limited by the number of drums in his kit. His skills and sensibilities deliver more of the entire percussion section of the orchestra.
Robert is also a part of the management team at one of the most historic stages in the United States, the Walnut Street Theater of Philadelphia, Pa.
A Renaissance man, he is an accomplished photographer, lighting director, holds a First Class engineering license from the Federal Communications Commission and was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor while a member of the
U-S Army’s 101st Airborne Division.
